Set-and-save - achieve maximum savings

  • May 30, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how it's a proper set-and-save solution. Not only did my effective rate increase significantly - but the amount of time I spent buying and laddering savings plans reduced substantially. Also, their support and customer services are fantastic, with rapid response times.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to call out-- they've been just an awesome company to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform removed the manual process of reservation / savings plan laddering & allowed my organization to receive optimal effective savings rate while mitigating the risk that comes with savings plans.

  • May 04, 2023

What do you like best about the product?
The handoff approach where we can see results monthly without much work
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup and understanding ProsperOps logic behind their cost-saving approach
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ProsperOps helped us reduce cost for AWS EC2 instance. We used more AWS resource for development, but the cost increased little.

Who pays on-demand rate for EC2 still?

  • May 02, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a relatively sophisticated user of AWS, we were already well over 90% coverage from RIs and savings plans before we started working with ProsperOps. We've managed to cut our EC2 rates by almost 20% more thanks to them, and significantly reduced the overhead on the DevOps team into the bargain.
What do you dislike about the product?
I regret not starting it myself, but they've done it better than I would anyway.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating AWS reservations to improve flexibility, coverage, and utilization, effectively getting us a significantly better discount on EC2 spend.

Best Cost Optimization solution for AWS

  • January 16, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ProsperOps has helped us realize millions of savings globally. We like that it is an action-oriented managed service. We set parameters around coverage and risk, and they take actions with the best AWS financial instruments to meet our goals. Other platforms just make recommendations vs taking action.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is just AWS today. We would like ProsperOps to support cost optimization on Azure and GCP as well, with Azure being higher priority. We would also like expansion to other services on AWS beyond EC2.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ProsperOps is taking action to lower our AWS costs through Reserved Instances and Savings Plans, resulting in lower costs and higher margins for our business, our partners and their customers

Tracking our cost expenditures for AWS Compute Resources (EC2, Fargate & Lambda) is brilliant

  • April 13, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The level of access required for ProsperOps is only the least privileged access which gives a sense of assurity & reliability to us. It doesn't require any Agents to passively monitor our compute resources and we give a simplistic IAM role for its cost analysis. This role can be defined in such a way that ProsperOps doesn't have access privileges that could impact our application performance or security concerns which is convenient. It follows a top-notch SP (Savings Plan) Portfolio management which always fulfills our net cloud budget requirements.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have difficulty in dealing with our EC2 capacity reservations as ProsperOps only includes Regional reserved instances. For overcoming this, we opt for on-demand capacity reservation which is undertaken by the AWS platform itself. We can integrate multiple AWS accounts associated with our project into ProsperOps for analyzing all our computational resource usage and provide aggregated cloud savings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The majority of our cloud expenditure comes from the utilization of EC2 instances, Fargate deployments and Lambda executions in our organization. ProsperOps handles our migrating workloads effectively with its automatic discount portfolio adjustments based on the variations at any point in time. Apart from viewing the billing separately in ProsperOps dashboard, we may carry on with purchasing its service from AWS Marketplace in case we would want to see the consolidated charges on AWS billings. Currently, we are using ProsperOps for the AWS platform and we are in discussion with our clients to include it for our Microsoft Azure as well for utilizing its cloud cost management & visibility features.

Best service for AWS compute cost optimisation

  • June 25, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ProsperOps is saving me a massive amount of time optimizing our compute spend with AWS so that we can focus on building the product. Since we started, our Effective Savings Rate has increased by 20.1%. ProsperOps cover 96% of your compute on-demand spend, and our saving tools are 99.9% utilized!

What I really love about ProsperOps flexible commitments is the fact that they can be squashed allowing for drops in our AWS compute spend without fear or penaly of overcommitted discounts.

Configuration for AWS was straightforward, and the onboarding process was very detailed. I was amazed at how flexible their instruments can be for the AWS environment. They are indeed experts in infrastructure cost optimization - they even recommended most optimal configuration of our AWS accounts to maximise savings.

I love the personal communication we receive from Chris (CEO). They are SOC2 compliant and AWS Advanced Technology Partner which gives me full assurance of their organizational and technological security controls.
What do you dislike about the product?
I only regret I didn't start working with ProsperOps earlier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ProsperOps helps us optimize our AWS Infrastructure spend. Without ProsperOps, compute optimization would require a lot of time internally. We save time and money.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't wait if you have a big AWS compute presence. ProsperOps will save you time and money.

ProsperOps is absolutely nailing RI portfolio management for our AWS accounts

  • June 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ProsperOps follows a plug-and-forget model. They use advanced optimization techniques to always squash the maximum out of the saving possibilities given by AWS.

ProsperOps takes a cut of the savings they generate, which creates a business model with goals that are perfectly aligned with the ones of the customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. I would wouch for a lower rate if possible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ProsperOps manages AWS savings instruments on our behalf and covers 98% of our compute on-demand spend. These savings instruments are 98.9% utilized.
Since starting the ProsperOps service, our Effective Savings Rate has increased by 22.2% (this is net of their charge).

By actively managing our portfolio, ProsperOps allows us to not have to care about RI management.

Love the time and money savings delivered!

  • June 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ProsperOps is a set it and forget cost-management tool. In the past, I'm used to staring at RI reports and then spending hours making decisions on which purchses and changes to make. With ProsperOps, I decide what % of compute spend should be in 1 year and 3 year RIs and like magic, it just works.

Ths is a huge time savings and has increased our RI savings too for minimal cost. We are at 33.9% cost savings over on-demand EC2 instances.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love to see cost management expanded to other services like RDS and Elasticache (however, I get why that is challenging since those are less flexible than EC2 RIs)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ProsperOps is solving AWS EC2 reserved instance cost-management. Prior to ProsperOps, we were manually managing EC2 RIs and spending hours per month doing so. We've seen our cost-savings improve while saving hours per-month of an engineers time.

The arbitrage works well. The service is really excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have nothing to dislike about the product

ProsperOps manages to cover 95.4% of our compute on-demand spend and the savings are 100.0% utilized.
The service is paid for with savings from our AWS bill. We have saved over $201,094, so far.
